Hair Dye has been popular among many people for many reasons. Most people go to a salon to get their hair bleached and dyed, but not everyone has the money to afford it or just don't want to bleach their hair to avoid damage, but at the same time want to achieve the nice color. Well, there are a few ways you can dye your hair at home using simple affordable items. The color may not last for a long time, but it can be achieved affordably and easily.
The first way is by using Crayola markers:
1)You will need a Crayola marker, scissors, hair conditioner (any), a cup of water, an empty cup, some sort of brush to apply the dye, and aluminum foil.
2) You will need to use the scissors to cut off the bottom of the marker and remove the ink cartridge.
3) Then take the glass of water and dip the ink cartridge into the water until the ends start to become white, this should take like a minute or so.
4) Then using the white part of the cartridge blow the ink into an empty glass.
5) Add conditioner to thicken the substance depending on how much ink you have.
6) Then take a strand of hair and dip the brush into the dye and apply a layer on the hair, after wrap it in aluminum foil.
7)After about 20 minutes remove the aluminum foil and rinse out the hair with cold water (make sure not to rinse with hot water since the color will wash out.)
This will last a few weeks, but not as long as when dyed at a salon and it may not show up as vividly on darker hair colors.
The second way is using Kool Aid:
1) You will need about 5 Kool Aid packets, water, spoon, any conditioner, and a container for dye.
2) In the container add the 5 Kool Aid packets.
3) Mix with a little bit of water, it should be just enough to dissolve the Kool Aid.
4) Add the conditioner to thicken the mixture and apply on hair using a glove or bare hands.
5) Wait about 30 minutes and rinse with cold water
Once again the color may appear differently on various hair colors and types as well as time duration of how long it will last.
Of course there are many more different ways to dye hair at home, but these are the two I thought could be most effective.
