Curling hair is a really good way to make your hair look extra nice, or something special for either an occasion, party, or even for everyday work or school. Because there are so many different kinds of curls and ways to curl hair, the options limitless. For today I will be explaining ways to curl your hair without using heat because its inexpensive since it doesn't require having a curler or heat protectant, doesn't damage the hair, and is usually really easy to do and all u need to do is give it time (probably overnight.)
First Way: Paper Towel Curls(You can use socks instead of paper towels too) :
1. Take about a one-inch section of hair and dampen it.
2. Take about a quarter strip of a paper towel.
3. Loop the end of the hair on the bottom over the strip a couple times to secure the ends, and then roll the rest of the hair up that strand however far up you choose.
4. Once you roll it up as far as you want the hair to curl, take the two ends of the paper towels on both sides of the strand and tie it like you would tie shoe laces.
5. Then you continue to do it on all of the hair, or as much as you would want and then leave it overnight.
6. After the hair is dry, you can remove the paper towels.
Second Way: Pin Curls:
1. Take a section of hair and dampen it.
2. Take the bottom part of the hair and wrap one or two fingers around it and roll it up all the way to your scalp.
3. After you have a looped piece of hair at your head, pin it with either a bobby pin or any sort of clip.
4. Then sleep with them and after the hair has dried take them out.
5. For looser curls, use bigger sections.
Third Way: Scarf Curls:
For this method, it's best to part your hair in the middle.
1. Take the scarf and wrap it around your head and tie it in the back.
2. Make sure your hair from the scarf down is dampened.
3. Start with the left side of the [middle] part.
4. Take a strand and wrap it up over, around, then under the scarf. Then when you have the strand wrapped, grab another chunk of hair (next to the wrapped strand) and add it to the existing strand that was wrapped. Wrap that combined section around again, as previously done with the original strand. Keep adding on strands and each time a strand is added wrap it.
5.When you get to the back and finish wrapping the left side, you should have a strand of hair hanging, you will want to leave it for now.
6. Repeat on the right side step 4.
7. Once both left and right strand are hanging, take the two and combine into one strand and wrap it around the scarf until there is no hair left hanging and secure it with a bobby pin or a clip.
8. Leave it overnight.
9. Remove the pin or clip, untie the scarf, and remove the scarf holding the one side of curls while taking it out.
10. Repeat with the other side.
