When applying eyeliner it may be challenging at first to do it on yourself or on someone else, but with the write knowledge, technique, and practice, you can rock the look like Beyonce. I will be explaining 5 do's and dont's on what to look out for when practicing eyeliner especially when it comes to mastering that even wing (I'm sure many can relate.)
Do's:
1) When applying gel liner, remember to keep all excess product off to be more in control of the liner and so that it can be easier to fix or clean up if you mess up.
2) If you are doing a wing, make sure not to extend that wing too far because it may not look as flattering and classy as it will look to heavy.
3) Apply the eyeliner at eye level and check once in a while to keep in control of how it looks and not tugging on the skin will avoid early age wrinkles or fine lines.
4) If you have hooded eyes of any sort, the wing will crease and not look as appealing wherever it is extended past the crease, so if you have hooded eyes try to make the wing small or not to extend the line past the creasing, or just avoid a wing altogether, it would be up to you and depending on how hooded your eyes are.
5) When applying, try to focus the actual liner on the outer third of the eye, because the thicker the line goes towards the inner corner, the smaller the eyes and lids would look in general. By doing this the eye will look more open and makes the eyelids appear as more spacious and not as small and enclosed.
Don't:
1) Having too much product on the applicator when using gel liner.
2) Making the wing in winged eyeliner extended too far (near the brow.)
3) Pull on your skin when applying the liner.
4) If you have hooded eyes of any sort, applying a thick wing.
5) Pulling the liner close to the inner corners.
